Our current projects.

LOST. Light weight optimised welded structures (in swedish)
Litebus The project focus on the development of a novel technology to manufacture bus/coach bodies using load carrying sandwich multimaterial panels that have to meet tough design requirements. KTH is most active in work packages related to life cycle cost, dynamic performance and composite design.
Modular Joints for Composite Aircraft Components (MOJO). Modular assembly of componets for aircraft structures. Especially components developed with 3D weaving of carbon fibers
Residual stress analysis and fatigue of welded structures
Crash Behaviour of Sandwich Elements
Fatigue of cast components
Residual strength of composite sandwich panels with multiple fragment damages Notch sensitivity of composite laminates and interaction of notches, residual strength of composite sandwich panels with multiple damages, dynamic behaviour of composite laminates (notched and un-notched)
Multi-functional body panels
Modelling of wood micro structure
Cost Efficient Composite Structures Investigate forming properties of stacked UD prepreg. Create material models for virtual manufacturing.Describe manufacturability as a subset in a multidisciplinary optimisation
Advanced Low Cost Aircraft Structures
Stochastic Models of Cellular Solids for Determination of Material Properties
Fatigue of Foam Core Materials
New Surface Combatant
FE-Design 2000 Improved Usage of High Strength Steel by an effective FE-based Design Methodology for Complex Welded Structures
